Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (225g) Tilapia
- 1 piece Tomato
- 1/4 piece Onion
- 1 piece Long green pepper
- 1 thumb Ginger
- A small handful Sweet potato leaves
- 1 tablespoon Calamansi juice
- 1 cup Water
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cooking oil
Steps
- Start by slicing the tomatoes and onions. Slice the ginger thinly and the green pepper into halves.
- Boil water in a pot then add the tomatoes and onions, followed by the ginger and green pepper.
- Simmer the mixture over medium heat for about 3 minutes until the flavors blend together.
- Add the tilapia pieces to the simmering broth. Cook over medium-low heat for 7-10 minutes until the fish is opaque and tender.
- Pour in the calamansi juice into the soup, stirring softly, and season with salt to taste.
- Add the sweet potato leaves, letting them wilt in the hot soup for about a minute.
- Serve hot in a bowl.
