Ingredients
- 170g Beef sirloin
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 3.5 oz Button mushrooms
- 3/4 tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 cup Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- 1/2 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 3/4 tablespoon Oyster sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon Ground black pepper
- to taste Salt
- 1/8 teaspoon Onion powder
- 1/16 teaspoon Garlic powder
Steps
- Mince the garlic.
- Thinly slice the beef.
- Clean and slice the mushrooms.
- In a skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium heat and add minced garlic. Fry until the garlic turns golden and crisp. Remove the garlic and keep it aside.
- Brown the thinly sliced beef over medium-high heat, using the remaining oil in the skillet, ensuring both sides are cooked. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce.
- Stir in black pepper and a portion of the crispy garlic. Cook for another minute, then take the beef out and keep it aside.
- Melt butter in the same skillet and mix it with the flour, stirring continuously to form a thick base. Slowly pour in the beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and bring the mixture to a light boil. Integrate onion powder, garlic powder, and season with salt and black pepper.
- Return the beef into the skillet, making sure it's covered with the mushroom gravy. Simmer for a couple of minutes until the beef is well heated.
- Serve the dish, garnishing it with the reserved crispy garlic.
